CLICK THE LINK ABOVE TO LISTEN ON SOUNDCLOUD...

There is an old saying that you should never ask a question that you are not prepared to deal with the answer. Sometimes...women and men tend to forget that. On this podcast, we explore the 5 toughest questions that women ask (but really don't want to know the answer to). This podcast will comically take a look at the responses that men should (and should not) give.

she's fine...no condom needed

I'm going to take a guess about you. I would guess that at least 99.95% of you who are reading this have had unprotected sex at least ONCE in your lifetime. Is that a safe guess? I think so. Nonetheless, I found this article while reading last week. Good information here. I'm not sure how many of you (men & women) who this applies to...and I'm not here to pass judgement. LOL. But we've got to be a little smarter about how we get down. The idea of passing up on protection because "she's fine" or "she didn't look like she has something"...is not the move

Men who find their female sexual partners attractive are less likely to use condoms, according to a new study in BMJ Open. Apparently, the level of a woman's attractiveness impacts a man’s likelihood to practice safe sex.

“The primary purpose of the current study was better to understand the relationship between perceived attractiveness and condom use intentions in heterosexual men and to gain insights into the relationship between perceived attractiveness, demographics, sexual history and perceived sexual health status,” the authors write in the introduction.

The researchers found that, obviously, men who found women attractive had a greater desire to have sex with them. But while participants were more willing to have sex with attractive women, researchers found they were less inclined to use condoms when they do so. And men who considered themselves attractive also had a higher tendency to avoid condom use during sex.

Perhaps more interesting was their finding that men were still unlikely to wear condoms even when they thought the woman was at a higher risk of STDs. The researchers noted this was “surprising,” seeing as in past research, men have linked hot women with promiscuity and disease. Other studies, however, have contradicted these findings; one showed that men saw attractive women as less sexually risky when it came to STDs, assuming that they took care of themselves more than unattractive women. The diversity in findings may simply be a result of the fact that all men have differing opinions on the matter.

Only about 65 percent of men use condoms regularly, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, despite the fact that contraception has proven to be safe and effective. Condom bias, or people’s negative associations and attitudes about condoms, is often to blame: Individuals often feel that condoms are unpleasant and take away from the pleasure of sex (despite the fact that this myth has been proven wrong), or contribute to the loss of erection and other unwanted issues.

It’s interesting, then, that we now have some other psychological factors that go into condom avoidance — including the level of perceived attractiveness of a person. The researchers hope their study will inform people when making choices in their sexual life, particularly if they’re engaging in risky behavior with people they find attractive. They plan to continue researching the subject to develop interventions that can prevent condom bias, and instead help people be more aware of what motivates them in safe sex.

“Future research could also investigate whether individual differences in variables known to influence risk-taking, such as sexual sensation seeking and sexual excitation/inhibition, might mediate the relationship between attractiveness and condom use intentions,” they write.

21 questions...

I saw this on Spacebook and decided I'd participate in one of these games...

It's your SENIOR year of high school! The longer ago it was, the more fun the answers will be! (this should be fun!)

Class of 1991- Wilson High School

1. Did you know your spouse?
No

2. Did you carpool?
Carpool? Is that what they called it? We called it "catching a ride". LOL. I rode in the homie, Zell's car...the Green Machine

3. What kind of car did you have?1987 Nissan Sentra (mom's car)

4. It's Friday night where did you go? The dance. There was always a dance at our school after the home football games. I played football and you always wanted go to the dance after a win. You would get props. Personally, I would like to move around the crowd and wait for the DJ to play a nice slow jam. I could dance but I preferred a good slow drag. I had a few memorable ones back in the day

5. What kind of job did you have? No job. I played football and really didn't have time to work. Besides...you will work most of your life...you only get to be in high school once. LOL

6. Were you a party animal? When you say "animal" what do you mean exactly? I liked to party and have a good time. But I wasn't partying every weekend. I didn't kick it like THAT.

7. Were you considered popular? Yeah, I would say I was popular

8. Were you in band/choir? Choir...Honors Chorus for 4 years to be exact. I made All State Chorus that year. So, I can sing. But you'll never hear me sing...

9. Were you a nerd? Nahhhhh. Smart? Yes! Nerd? Nope

10. Did you get suspended or expelled? Never

11. Can you sing the fight song? I can "hum" the fight song. But I can sing the alma mater! You wanna hear it? I'll sing it for you...

12. Where did you go to lunch? The cafeteria. This was 1991, man. There was no such thing as having Pizza Hut or Starbucks in your school. If you wanted that kind of stuff, you had to leave school. And we couldn't leave school. I ate lunch in the cafeteria. You could find me at my table with my homegirl, Jimmell and my boy, Shaft.

13. Where was your high school? Florence, South Carolina

14. What was your mascot? Tigers

15. If you could go back and do it over again, would you? Hell yeah!!! I had a great 4 yrs there

16. Did you have fun at prom? Yes, prom was fun. I enjoyed it. Real cool

17. Do you still talk to the person you went to the prom with? Yep, we're friends on Spacebook

18. Are you planning on going to your reunion? I'd like to. If we have one, I'd go

19. Are you still in contact with people from high school? Yes!!!

20. Did you skip school/class? Nah man. I never skipped a class. As long as you don't count my last class of the day (PE) when Coach Wells (RIP) would give me the keys to his car so that I could go home...

21. How old were you when you graduated? 18

off tha dome

random thoughts...

it's been a minute. I know. do you know what happens between these blog posts??? life

where is fall? it's been in the upper 80s all week

speaking of weather, I hope we're done with hurricane season

red Kool-Aid...red is probably not a flavor...but that's what we call it

Kameron told me other day that being in the 10 grade was "hard". My response..."Let's switch places."

i'd go back to the 10th grade without hesitation. i'd do some things different

the kids are taking piano lessons now. they like it

if you hire a clown...you should expect a circus. this country has hired a clown

the other day, the clown said he "talked to the president of the Virgin Islands." Duhhhh...YOU are the president of the Virgin Islands

the leader of the free world is a clueless reality tv star...

NFL boycott...i'm not boycotting. the NFL is about the NFL and always has been. I learned that a long time ago. it's not that serious to me. as fans, we don't care about the players. we think we do...but we don't. most of the players that we watch will have debilitating and brain issues not long after they stop playing. they trade on their bodies and health for our entertainment. we don't care about them. it's always about the name on the FRONT of the jersey...never the name on the BACK of the jersey.

I had no idea that so many people hated candy corn. I like it

Colin Kaepernick SHOULD be playing right now. he's clearly being blackballed. he won't play again

funny how Kaepernick took a knee during the playing of the national anthem, as a gesture of respect to the military, but he doesn't have a job. but player protests along with "team unity of locking arms" while the song is being played is the thing to do. go figure

can you "win" at a game of hide & seek?

speaking of games, is there any games longer than the game of Monopoly?

don't forget about Puerto Rico just because it's no longer in the headlines. donate what you can

something is missing

I am a big fan of Jemele Hill. I agree with what she said about Chump and Jerry Jones. that said...the comment about Jones probably shouldn't have been said on twitter. especially when ESPN didn't fire her for what she said about Chump. we don't know what their social media policy is so she shouldn't have tweeted that about boycotting Jones. Jones is in a direct partnership with her employer. she earns a 7 figure salary. no need to mess that up.

if you have on one long white sock and one short white sock...is this considered to be unmatched?

freedom of speech ain't free...

this new Rapsody is so cold. if you haven't heard it, you should check it out

I see Chump tweeting about NFL players but none about Puerto Rico

like it or not...Biggie and Tupac will forever be linked

sugar on grits??? nahhhhhhhh man

for some reason, i'm bothered by the time change...no matter if the time moves forward for an hour or backwards for an hour

you will hardly ever hear me complain about the traffic in Atlanta. it's bad...but I've seen worse

not a fan of Beyoncé nor Rhianna...but I respect their hustle

there are times when I say out loud..."You know what...Bush wasn't THAT bad." LOL

Willie Washington...still funny to this day!

someone asked me the other day "Why do you say '5000' at the end of your podcast?" That made me laugh out loud...literally. 5000 means "peace or goodbye" back in the 80s. It's an old hip hop slang

Aye Tee Reese...I'm back! LOL

speaking of 80s hip hop, was there anything doper than the doorknocker earrings?

can anybody beat the Warriors?

watching reality tv < watching paint dry

shoutout to my Yankess...we had an incredible season!!! Thunbs down!!!

folks are still out here checking for RKelly. smh

I've gotta drink more water

nobody can beat the Warriors

you know my motto..."We are all freaks...some are more bigger than others"

speaking of freaks...RIP Hugh Hefner

sooooo...Puff wants to change his name to "Brother Love"? Mannnnnnsitchozzdown

I think i'm gonna get the iPhone 8. it's time

he'll always be Puff or Puffy to me. I never called him Diddy...that sounds corny. He's Puffy to me.

guess who has a birthday next month????

do you know how dope my term papers would have been back in '91 if I could have used the internet???

forever...
