This cat had a great run when he was on top in hip hop. He's been beset with problems with his drug addiction and jail. If he ever gets it together, he'll be back to being the old X.

DMX ripped ish from Day One in an extremely unapologetic style. I remember the first time I had heard of this cat in '98 while watching his Get At Me, Dog video. DMX was raw with the lyrics, just the way me and the homeboys loved our rap music at the time. Here We Go, Again is probably my favorite DMX song.
Awe Kyle, good post! DMX was one my favorites. I like his rough and tough voice, in fact he inspired a character in my last book. Love the Rough Riders song too! Happy Labor Day! Oh yeah, i threw some ribs on the grill (yesterday).
DMX was one of my favs as well. Unique style, voice and flavor but too bad he can't seem to keep his personal life in check. Sad how people let their demons ruin a great career.
But like you, I hope he gets it together soon.
