do remember

No matter what obstacles you face...faith and determination will see you through.

When I saw this picture, those were my first thoughts. Only faith and determination is gonna help this dude. This picture wasn't photoshopped. It is real.

As we move forward into 2009, let's rely on our faith and determination to overcome obstacles and accomplish our goals. And I don't mean a resolution that you prolly aren't gonna keep. I mean something real. For me, one goal is to go to grad school

What about you?

I didn't even see someone in the wave! Faith is right....that's a good thought, bro. I don't know where I would be without faith. Don't let me get to preachin' up in here.

the only thing I know will give me peace of mind next year is to have a handle on my finances- eliminate those last two credit cards and get all of my current bills on a regular automatic payment.

After that I'll probably be able to sleep better at night, which will help everything else on my list fall right into place.

Grad School ... get started !!! It will be one of the most challenging things that u will undertake .. Much success ...

I'm looking to ensure that my personal judgment is in order ... 9 is the number of judgment ... so im working on that ...

1. Stay focused on my whole rationale for moving back to the MidWest(finish my MA and get my Chemical Dependency licensure)

2. Get in a good place(financially) so that I WILL be a homeowner going into 2010.

3. Remember to 'stop and smell the roses'. I'm one of those folks who plans so much for tomorrow that I forget to live for today.

Oh yea...LMAO @ eclectik!

I love this post bruh. Good luck with graduate school, that is an awesome goal!

For me, one of the main things that I plan for 2009 is to finish things I start. I noticed this year that I started doing a lot of things but would get sidetracked and not complete them. In 2009, whatever I start, I am going to do my darndest to finish.

I also want to putting more in my savings. The later part of this year, I finally got comofortable setting aside money and NOT TOUCHING IT! Come 2009, I want to save more and spend less.

Your blog is doper than mine...real talk! I tip my hat to you for staying in the stock game. It's scary right now but it's gonna be alright

I'm coming thru!!!

@ B

@ Jaded Santana
I think tackling debt is something that we all prolly need to do! Good point

@ xcentricgem
Personal judgment affects every thing that we do. I know that you'll be fine. Keep trying. You've got all the tools

@ mzinspiredmind
Great point. I think sometimes I tend to get so caught up in the race that I don't stop to look and see what's around me.

@ rawdawgbuffalo
Thanks bruh

As far as you going to Grad School
"JUST DO IT". Take out the loan, you got 30 years to pay it back. (smile) You can do it!

Im making 2009 my year !

No half steppin'

I really want to work on becoming part vegetarian, concentrating and being way more conscious of what I put in my temple.

Become healthy with whole foods and stop feeling physically uncomfortable.

Save, Save, Save $$$.

Financially getting me and my husband back on top.

Congrats on your plans for Grad School Kyle, see yourself there and you will be !!

At the same time....WTF is that dude thinking?

I saw this dude on the Today show! His brother is took the picture. He didn't make the big wave and is crazy enough to want to do it again! Anyway.

I definitely want to focus and take my GMAT's for business school! I can't wait any longer!

I'm going to read the Bible. In my Bible they show you how to read the entire book in a year! So, Jan.1 I begin this journey.

Like E stay in the stock game...now is the time to buy y'all! The market is cyclical. It WILL bounce back!

Volunteer more. I slacked when it got warmer...Happy Hours called me! Going back to Big Bro Big Sis and checking on the elderly.

Run at least 3 5k's and 1 10k!

Stick to my budget.

Amen, Kyle! I'm looking forward to '09 in a big way. This reminds me of what Steve Harvey said to encourage a caller the other day...God blesses effort.. Seemingly simple, but I need to be reminded of this from time to time. Add a little faith and you have a winning combo :).

Work on that grad school app, you'll be glad ya did :-).
