I'M ADDICTED...AND YOU ARE, TOO!

I am an addict. I have been an addict for a loooong time. I've been an addict for so long that I didn't even know that I was an addict. I can't remember when the addiction started. I just know that I have an addiction. And knowing is half the battle. The addiction has gotten so bad that I start my day with it. I have to have it when I wake up in the morning. I usually get my fix during the day. And I ALWAYS end the night with it. Yeah...if you haven't figured it out by now...I'm a sports addict. I'm a huge football, basketball, and baseball fan. I'm also into golf pretty deep right now. Sports have always played a major part of my life. I started playing football competitively at the age of 8. I was so small that the city made my parents sign a waiver that insured that they would not sue the city if I got injured playing with the bigger kids b/c I didn't meet the weight requirements. It went from playing little league football to high school football to college football. My involvement in football led to a love for the game of basketball. I remember watching some dude named Michael Jordan who became my favorite basketball player and one of the best to ever play the game.

Like most people, I became a true fan of sports at an early age. With the invention of a sports network like ESPN, I was hooked! I don't think this addiction is that bad. I'm not a person who watches a lot of TV. I've never seen Friends. I've only seen one episode of Seinfeld. I love to watch old reruns of Martin, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and My Wife and Kids. If I'm not watching that, I'm usually watching SOME sporting event. I have even fallen into the "highlight syndrome." The highlight syndrome is the phenomenon of watching a game in its entirety then you immediately watch the highlights of that same game. You watch the highlights of the game as if you've never seen it before. That's normal right? LOL

I think this addiction gets on my wife's nerves sometimes. She'll say things like "Can we watch something other than sports?" I can't say that I blame her. But everybody knows that football is better than any show on the Food Network, right? Haaaaa. We've been together since college so she's known about this addiction. She's tried to send me to rehab a few times but I just won't go. I can handle my addiction. Sports don't consume me. It's only a hobby. LOL. I know that I'm not the only addict around here. As a matter of fact, I'm an addict...and so are YOU!!

NEW ADDICTIONS

HD TV- There is nothing better than watching a game in High-Definition. If you don't have HD, you need to get it.

Tivo/DVR- It'll change the way that you watch TV

The Boondocks (Cartoon Network)-If you wanna laugh...and laugh hard. Watch this!!!

The Wire- The best thing on Tv. Period!

I would write more on this blog...but the game is about to come on. Haaaaaaaaaaa

My name is Jonnie, and I'm addicted to all things concerning the NFL. As much as it pains me to watch coverage of superbowl XLII, especially anything featuring Eli and his squad, but I just can't not watch it. Everyone knows it should have been The 'Boys.

Oh yeah, and I'm addicted to the damn internet.

I need help. (LOL!)

As much as I hate to agree with you...the Cowboys SHOULD have been in the Super Bowl. They were the best team in the NFC all year. Right now, the Giants are the hottest team in the NFC. I think they'll keep it close to NE but they won't win. The only way NE loses will be if Brady is kidnapped by martians, Moss shows up on a dogfighting video with Mike Vick, Welker and Maroney get busted in a prostitution sting the night before the game, and if Bill Beli-cheat's film co-ordinator loses the game tapes. Haaaaaaa

Thanks for the post

Shame on you for enabling your husband with tats and cigars. Ask him who does he think he's Ron O'Neal? LOL.
