Her story is a stark reminder of the pervasive issue of gun violence that plagues our society. As an alum, I felt the weight of this loss deeply, reflecting on the need for change and accountability. Despite the tragedy, the weekend was filled with moments of joy and connection. Walking the campus, I was enveloped by a sense of nostalgia, recalling the days of being a broke college student with dreams and uncertainties. Reuniting with old friends and teammates, sharing stories and laughter, reinforced the bonds that time and distance cannot break. Homecoming is a celebration of legacy and community. It's about reliving the past while embracing the present. From the legendary tailgates to the vibrant halftime shows, the spirit of South Carolina State University shines through. It's a time to reflect on how far we've come and to honor the memories that shape us. As I left the campus, I was filled with a sense of gratitude and accomplishment.
