How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good. My Falcons lost yesterday but South Carolina State crushed Hampton. We are one step closer to winning the MEAC title and a bid to the playoffs.
Ughhhh Push it...lmao
ReplyDeleteand yeah the eagles spanked them falcons...boo hoo to you you!
Now you know I love "Don't Curse". I can still do every lyric,
ReplyDeleteok weekend #2 of watching football, only I wasn't really paying attention but I know the Jets won! This is progress.
Heavy D...that was my joint.
ReplyDeleteand you can never go wrong with Salt N Pepa...
The Raiders lost again...but USC won!
Hey Brother!
ReplyDelete«humming intro to Push it».....that was my joint! You gone mess round and have be busting out at the wrong time today saying "Get up on this!".....see that's why I hardly listen music! lol....they say what you put in will come out...."get up on this!"....ah Lord people gone think I got Tourrest's disease (however u spell it)..."get up on this!"....lol
My weekend was pretty darn good...."get up on this"...lol
@ Kandi Black
ReplyDeleteYeah. They beat us. After that controversial missed call by the refs, we lost all of our momentum.
@ The F$%K it List
Don't Curse was the jam!
I'm soooo proud of you. I know that Jets/Chiefs game was boring. Maybe I should make sure that you watch some better games. LoL
@ Dessex
Next Sunday my Falcons will play your Raiders. Tell DeAngelo Hall to get ready. We're coming after him
@ Keisha the Kitten
LMAO @ u!!! I have the feeling that you'll be saying this allllll day long
LOL - Lord...I guess I'm not old school AT ALL - lol.
ReplyDeleteyou know i hate my internet connection card!!!
ReplyDeleteanyway they did this tribute on vh1 soul on 30 yrs of hip hop. we have come such a long way. it was cool to see the evolution from beginning to the present!!
cool songs sir. salt and pepper were the shyss!!
So you had to go there huh....yea just keep reminging me of how old i am
ReplyDeleteHow are you kyle
Yep, I'm old skool!!!!
ReplyDeleteNaught by Nature was the Shizzznit. They are still in my rotation. I thought it was funny how Vinny never had more than two lines in a song. But he got PAID to say a paragraph on stage. That must've been sweet!!!
I'm with Keisha on the "get up on this...HEY!!!!!" LOVED me some S and P. Who else could make you cut your hair asymetrical and tear your jeans up???
Not Big Daddy Kane?!? He brought dark-skinned brothers "in style." I remember every dark skinned brother I knew was sporting that hair cut. *lol*
And Heavy D and the Boyz??? I am giddy, just giddy.
This was absolutely wonderful. I'm digging this one. (well, I was never really PE fan, though)
public enemy and big daddy kane are my favs from this list. o.p.p. was good back then, but now i'm not as fond of that song as i used to be.
ReplyDeletetoo bad my beloved famu is fifth in the meac standings. we do have a three game win streak though, so we're on the come up!
LOL. I had a great weekend. It was Grown Woman's bday so saturday was absolutely ridic--spa, dinner at B Smiths and clubbin'. Good times.
ReplyDeleteYou know I'm Old Skool man...I have all of these joints...This was
ReplyDelete90's music..Maybe not the Public Enemy..That was late 80's I beleive, but I loved it just the same.
Tough break yesterday Kyle..That was a BS call at the end of the game. Even though it went in my teams favor, I have to be honest,
he didn't touch that ball..but your
coach didn't have any time outs left,so he couldn't challenege it..
It be's that way sometimes man..Good luck to your Falcons the rest of the year!!
Some of these are a lil too old school for me (public enemy)...wow...I need to step my game up...
ReplyDeleteI think I'm old school...a lot of these songs I wasn't aloud to sing or listen to growing up, but you know I did anyway!
ReplyDelete@ Darius
ReplyDeleteLOL!
@ dreamy
You're right. Hip hop has really grown up before our eyes.
@ Kin'shar
Hahahahaha! I'm good. Don't worry. If you get down with these songs, then you're the same age is on me.
@ Kay C the Quiet Storm
LMAO!!! You are right about Vinnie. He never got a lotta props b/c he didn't have a lotta verses
Big Daddy Kane was definitely one of the leaders in the "chocolate brother movement". He paved the way for dudes like me. Hahahahaha. Thanks, Kane!
@ nikki
FAMU is making moves! The hire of Joe Taylor will help put them back on the map
@ traveldiva
Spa and good food? Can't beat that!
@ Keith
Thanks man! I feel the same way. They blew that call. I wish we still had a time out. I would have liked to see what Matt Ryan could do. I'm not mad. Philly is a damn good team. Westbrook is like Marshall Faulk...unstoppable. I'll chalk this up as a loss to a good team.
Phillies will get it done tonight!
@ Charles
LoL! It's all good! You can learn about the old skool over here.
@ Charece
Hahahahaha! I'm sure that you did
I'm digging that PE. I just picked up that cut along with Night of the Living Baseheads, Can't Truss It, and Shut Em Down off itunes about a week ago. I'm trying to get my old school tunes back in effect.
ReplyDelete@ Rich
ReplyDeleteThat's how I know that you're old skool. You use words like "cuts" when describing records. LoL
Can't forget about words like "trim". Classic, Rich!
UF vs Georgia this weekend. Should be a great game!!!
LOVE & MISS HEAVY D (R.I.P TROY)!!! HE WAS THE BADDEST!! *sigh*
ReplyDeleteMy name is Cap & I. AM. OL'SKOOL - proudly!!

I got every one of these artist on CD including the CDs with those tracks on them.
ReplyDeleteGood choice.
