These words can be found on a painting that hangs on the wall of my childhood home...

was made from the rib of a man
she was not created from his head ~ to the top of him

nor from his feet ~ to be stepped upon

She was made
from his side ~ to be equal to him:

from beneath his arm ~ to be protected by him:

near his heart ~ to be loved by him

Funny...I never understood what this meant when I looked at the painting when I was 13. It makes much more sense when I look at it now.
