We'll be discussing topics like...
In '88, we got the following albums...It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back (Public Enemy), Straight Outta Compton (NWA), By All Means Necessary (BDP), 3 Feet High and Rising (De La Soul), Strictly Business (EPMD), Long Live the Kane (Big Daddy Kane), Follow the Leader (Eric B & Rakim), Lyte as a Rock (MC Lyte), Tougher Than Leather (Run DMC)...in your opinion...which is the BEST album from that year?
There were once a ton of female MCs in the 80s and 90s. Females are rare in today's hip hop. What happened to the female MC?
Which "breakup" was biggger...Tribe, EPMD, NWA, or Eric B & Rakim?
What was the best album of '94...Ready to Die, Illmatic, or southernplayalisticadillacmuzik?
Shaking my head!
ReplyDeleteHave to do some reflection before I jump out on the limb on that '88 list of albums and artist! Wow!
Won't comment now on the biggest break up... I remember the excitement I had when Rakim resurfaced and I wanted to say.. Eric B and Rakim are Back! But no Eric B??? I still don't know what happened with that combination!?!
Yo man this is gonna be a great show. Can't wait to discuss hip hop's golden era.
