As we celebrate Black Music Month, we can be reminded of some of the great music that has been made for generations.
But we can also be reminded of some BAD music that was made. I'm reminded of some bad purchases that I made everytime I walk past my cd rack...
Da Brat (the last cd that she released)
Ill Al Scratch (don't ask)
just to name a few...
What about you? What was the worst cd, cassette tape, or 8 track that you've ever purchased?
Hollatchaboi

ReplyDeletewell i don't have to include it here b/c the artist wasn't black.
Normally if i'm skeptical about a cd I don't buy it.
Ok that's not true... I'm a BIG fan of DMX so i buy everything. That last one.......
ReplyDeleteYou are right about Da Brat last one. I don't know what was going on in her mind at the time. I can't remember the last one but I end up giving it to my daughter and she was like, "um, what is this?"
ReplyDeletei did not buy it, it was a gift, but Shaq's album "You Can't Stop the Reign" was pretty terrible. his other cds were hot, but that one was awful
ReplyDelete....or how you say "goodnturrible"
The WORST CD I ever purchased was Kindred. UGH what a snooozzeeee that album was! 10 songs and only one was bearable and played on the radio.
ReplyDeleteThey've improved since that first one but DAMN every time I look at it I want to scream.
Oh yeah and Chico Debarges second CD. HORRID!
I feel shame...I bought spicegirls once.
ReplyDeleteI know folks will say WHAT this chick is crazy but I thought THE BLACK ALBUM was a waste of my damn $9.99 plus tax!
ReplyDeleteFYI: On some good music...go get that new Mos Def cd!
Chamillionaire - Sound of Revenge.
ReplyDeleteI know, what was I thinking. I got caught up with the hit "Ridin" cause I was tired of Cobb County police following behind me for no reason and pulling me over for petty stuff like the light over my license plate being out.
