To my football heads...how did you fare this weekend? My Atlanta Falcons won another game (surprise) and my South Carolina State Bulldogs are on their way to winning the conference championship.
I know all of them...dang, I'm first three days in a row.
ReplyDeletePoor Craig Mack! It wasn't his fault... Sean Combs was too busy licking Biggie's balls to really help Craig get out there... he was good!
ReplyDeletehaha@jaded
ReplyDelete*walks away humming'flava in ya ear'tune*
You lost me with Crucial Conflict but other wise a great mix.
ReplyDeleteLord - Craig Mack - WOW...now that's old school for real! LOL - good deal though Bruh!
ReplyDeleteNow the Luniz...from my hometown...That song is a classic. and CC "Hay" that stays on my ipod thats my joint right there.
ReplyDeleteThe Raiders lost again...but USC won!
Ah man, those were the jams! I LOVED I got 5 on it, especially the 8 minute remix with everybody and they brother spitting eight bars, lol!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I love this post. I will be jammin' all day. You takin' me back!
Oh yeah, thanks for stoppin' by the "Storm" and showing love.
Hey Brother!
ReplyDeleteI used to have $5 on the trees but today I got another 5 on it...I woke up with this lesson I learned years ago on my mind....The 5 P's...Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance!...That's my 5 on it...SMOKE UP!...lol
@ Beautifully.Conjured.Up
ReplyDeleteLOL!!!
@ The Jaded NYer
LMAO @ u! If you noticed...you see more of Puffy in the video than you do Craig Mack! Haaaa
@ dejanae
It's a catchy tune
@ clnmike
You don't remember this joint? These dudes were from Chicago. This song was like a "weed smoker's anthem." LoL
@ Darius
ReplyDeleteIt's been a long time since we heard from ole Craig Mack
@ dessex
Yep! The Luniz are from Oakland, right? Remember that song that they did called Playa Haters? I used to love that joint. It was the 1st time that I heard that phrase.
@ Kay C, The Quiet Storm
That remix was sick. It was much betta than the original.
No problem! Keep ya head up. You've been thru a lot so good days await you.
@ Keisha the Kitten
Can't picture you havin 5 on it! LoL. We're glad that you don't anymore. I'm sure you've got 5 hot rhymes, tho!
me particularly like the weed songs
ReplyDeleteTechnically, Craig Mack wasn't a one hit wonder. Can I Get Down was his joint before Flava in Ya Ear. But then again, I guess the bigger picture is that its a surprise that some people come out of bad boy aren't one hit wonders...
ReplyDeleteAnd that Hay in the Middle of the Barn was the joint....I remember they had another song called Rodeo too.
That Luniz remix from the Yay Area is official though.
I thought Craig Mack had more than one hit..
ReplyDeleteEverybody remembers -"I got five on it." That was the jam...I got tired of people saying it though-lolol...
Peter Gun and Tariq- Wow..That was
the shot too when it was out..My old barber used to love that.
Much love 2 Mix tape Mondays...You
go back in the crates with these jams Kyle-lololol.
@ Rawdawgbuffalo
ReplyDeleteLoL!!! U r off the chain, bruh
@ Charles
You're right! Mack did have that song, too. I think it was his 1st release.
@ Keith
Thanks, bruh. Glad that you enjoy the mixtape.
I rememeber when that song came out...all you heard was "Uptown baby, Uptown baby"
@Charles- Thanks...I couldn't remember the name of Craig Mack's other song..It was "Can I get Down"
ReplyDeleteThe guy across the drive way from me used to play that song so much that I threatened to throw a brick through his window the next time I heard it..Then he started bumpin-"Flava in ya ear"...I asked him-
"What, is Craig Mack your cousin or somethin?"
He drove us crazy that year...Thank God for Biggie.
Ooooh. I haven't heard I got 5 on it since college! HA!
ReplyDeleteThe defending Super Bowl champs are doing their thing. That's all I gotta say. GO BLUE!!!!
ReplyDeleteCraig Mack was a victim of the Biggie takeover. If it weren't for Big...Puff would have put all the money he could behind Craig Mack. Flava in ya ear was the hottest joint on the streets until Juicy came out.
I got 5 on it was my shyt! I loved Flava in ya Ear. I think Can you get down was hot too! Lord Tariq and Peter Gunz was a catchy song! I saw something where Peter Gunz's son is rappin...he sounded wack to me...lol!
ReplyDeleteCraig Mack's joint can still get it cracking!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't remember Crucial Conflict though.
Peter Gunz has a son that's doing pretty good on the local circuit. He was one of the rappers featured during the commercials on VH1's hip hop honors...looks just like his daddy!
There's so many levels of the music business that folk are still working in - at least tha's what I see here in nyc.
ReplyDeleteLike one hit wonder Dee NICE: he's a photographer & still d.j.ing - along with being married to Malinda Williams (Now, Mrs. Jones:-)... so, just cuz u don't hear 'em don't mean they're ALL strugglin' ;-) U know Black folk reinvent themselves, Bruk 12K!!
Awww man but have you heard Cory Gunz(Peter Gunz) son flow...OUT OF THIS WORLD!
ReplyDeleteplease tell me you didn't call B.G., Mr. baby gangsta a one hit wonder....please tell me i read wrong.
ReplyDeleteyou must not know who he be, far from a one hit wonder he has some fire azz hits and they go hard! trust!
check out chopper city
Hey you know these used to be the jam...
ReplyDeletewhat you saying man
hol up...B.G. is not a one hit wonder....neither was any of cash money
ReplyDeleteyou gotta take that back Kyle
