I think he brought the hood to the game. Many people shivered, while others forever love him for that.

Do you remember when he scored 50+ against an unbeatable Lakers team in the '01 Finals? Then, at the press conference, he made the comment that if anyone had bet their life on the game ... alot of folks would be dead. The competitor in him won't let him ride the bench. However, for the 3 mil that they are paying him...I'd come off the bench.

@ Rich
He definitely was the ANSWER

@ 3rddeadline
Thanks, son

@ Rashan
I agree. Dude was fearless. He brought it every night. It didn't matter if he was playing in Madison Square Garden or Salt Lake City

@ Miz
He's one of my favorite players, too!

@ ShellyShell
He could come off the bench for another team and average 18 points. All he'd have to do is conform to a different team concept.

But we know that he's always had a problem with conforming.

@ Keith
Feel fortunate that you got a chance to see him play every night in Philly

@ Cndgrl
Heyyy! I was fortunate enough to meet him on three occassions..Once in the Footlocker, another time at a restauraunt that he and his crew used to frequent and another time at a concert. He was a very down to earth guy...Not the bad guy he was portrayed as by the media.

I wanted him to win a ring when he was here too, but that team just didn't have the talent to overcome the Shaq-Kobe juggernaut that year.

Yeah,I remember A. I understand it's tough to come off as a bench player when you're used to being "The Answer" but he's ALWAYS complaining. When he went to Denver it seemed like he couldn't play with other stars. They traded for Chauncy and look what happened. Then he goes to Memphis and he's mad that he's a role player. Damn AI now was his time to school the young dudes and teach them. YOu don't have to start to show these dudes what's up. I feel by him saying that he had to leave the team for personal reasons was a BITCH move. Yeah, I said it! I love AI, his heart, his crossover and the raspy azz voice but I don't like his attitude! AI came to hoop EVERY game. And took a beating damn near every game. If he was on the court, he was coming at you, and more than likely was gonna hang around 30 on your squad and there really wasnt anything you can do about it. Is there a player that has made more defenders look silly?

Still mad that he got MJ tho. :-)and1gradhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15660842785142148165noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6813540610750501617.post-26131463765006932862009-11-10T02:31:13.259-05:002009-11-10T02:31:13.259-05:00Um I enjoyed this post not because I am interested...Um I enjoyed this post not because I am interested in Basketball or remember any of that stuff but for the visuals alone.
