Men are smarter than women.
Men know everything about sex.
Ok. Maybe those first 2 statements were wrong. Just wanted to get your attention. Haaaaa!
Much like we did before, let's vibe for a minute.
an article from the good folks at WebMd
As men, sometimes we think that we know everything there is to know about having sex with women? The erotic encyclopedia that we carry around in our heads may contain a lot of basic errors and omissions about women's sexuality -- errors that can lead to sex mistakes.
That's because -- after learning the facts of life -- most of us are left to figure out sex for ourselves. Guys tend to take a lot of cues from adult movies, and we all know how true-to-life those are. Experience may help, but many women can be shy when talking about what they like.
To help us with some sex tips, WebMD asked two acclaimed sex
educators, Tristan Taormino and Lou Paget, to tell us what they think
are the most common sex mistakes men make with women.
Sex Mistake No.1: You Know What She Wants
Men often make assumptions about what a woman wants based upon what they've done with other women. But women aren't all the same.
"You develop a repertoire as you mature sexually, but you should never assume that what worked for the last person is going to work for this person," Taormino says.
That applies not only to sexual predilections, but also to relationships, she says. "There are women who can have no-strings-attached sex, and women who can get attached very easily, and then everyone in between."
Sex Mistake No. 2: You Have All She Needs
Some women can't have an orgasm with less than 3,000 rpm. No human tongue or fingers can generate that kind of vibration. But men typically think something is wrong if a woman needs a vibrator.
"If the only way that a woman can achieve orgasm is with a vibrator, she's not broken," Taormino says.
Think of a vibrator as your assistant, not your substitute. Many couples use vibrators together.
"While you're doing one thing, or two things, the vibrator can be doing something else," Taormino says.
Sex Mistake No. 3: Sex Feels the Same for Men and Women
Paget says there tends to be a "huge disconnect" between men and women in the ways that sex feels good.
"When a man has intercourse with a woman, and his penis goes into her body, that sensation is so off the charts for most men, they cannot imagine that it isn't feeling the same way for her," Paget says. "It couldn't be further from the truth."
The inside of the vagina is probably less sensitive than the outer parts for most women. Also, deep thrusting may not feel so nice on the receiving end. If the penis is too long, "it feels like you're getting punched in the stomach," Paget says. "It makes you feel nauseous."
Sex Mistake No. 4: You Know Your Way Around a Woman's Anatomy
Most guys know generally what a clitoris is and where to find it. That's not to say that they really understand it.
More than 30 years ago, at the start of the "sexual revolution," a best-selling book called the Joy of Sex got Americans hip to the orgasmic importance of the clitoris. But the belief that women must be able to orgasm from vaginal penetration stubbornly persists.
"I still get letters from people who say things like, my wife can't[orgasm] from intercourse unless she has clitoral stimulation -- please help," Taormino says. "I want to write back and say, 'OK, what's the problem?'"
"For the majority of women, it's not going to happen that way," Paget says.
Men also lack information about how to touch it and how sensitive it is, Taormino says.
A touch that's bliss for one woman may feel like nothing special, or may even be painful for someone else. Some prefer indirect stimulation.
How can you find out how she likes to be touched? Try asking her.
Sex Mistake No. 5: Wet = Turned On
Guys sometimes get hung up if a woman doesn't get slippery enough for easy penetration. Don't worry about it.
"I think there's a myth that if you're turned on, you're wet," Taormino says. Not necessarily.
Some women tend to get wetter than others, and how much natural lubrication a woman has can change from day to day. It varies by the phase of her menstrual cycle, and it's subject to influences like stress and medications.
Sex Mistake No. 6: Silence Is Golden
A lot of guys think they should be silent during sex, but unless you speak up, your partner has to guess what's doing it for you and what isn't.
If you're respectful about it, a woman who wants to please you will probably appreciate some directions.
"I'm not saying push her head in your lap," Taormino says. "I think that, 'this is how I like it,' is a very useful conversation to have."
More lessons to come. Next time it'll be about what the women should or shouldn't be doing.
Your thoughts. Hollatchaboi!

In the midst… of the… storm…
I used …to … travel….backwards
Only to realize… I should have been moving forward… instead
On bended knees….I cry …cause He…. bleed…
Yet.. I…so… easily… sin…
Running away from him…to the clutches…of men
Forgot…I'm a daughter…. of the King…
I feel my soul ache….as I lay on my back and fake…once again
Tears.. run down…my cheek…I cry…on the inside… I shake
But it's not…pleasure…rather…pain
As I close my eyes…and envision…His...blood... stain
But when it rains…it pours….pulled out my umbrella of faith
No more traveling backwards…I'm... moving forward…..

At the time it never bothered me, at the bar
gettin my thug on properly, my squad and me
lack of respect for authority, laughin hard
Happy to be escapin poverty, however brief
I know this game got valleys and peaks, expectation
for dips, four percent pertation we stack chips, hardly
The youth I used to be, soon to see a mill'in
No more, Big Willie my game has grown prefer you call me William
Illin for revenues, Rayful Edmond like
Channel 7 news, round seven jewels, hand dead in the mic
Forgettin all I ever knew, convenient amnesia
I suggest you call my lawyer, I know the procedure
Lock my body can't trap my mind, easily
explain why we adapt to crime
I'd rather die enormous than live dormant that's how we on it
Live at the main event, I bet a trip to Maui on it
Jay Z (Can I Live)
Last week, we took a look at some hot cds from the 80s. A few of the young inhabitants at the 12th Planet couldn't really comment b/c they were just lil babies in the 80s. They asked for a post about the 90s music. Well...here ya go!
I looked through the old cd collection and I picked out one of my favorite cds from the 90s. One of my favorites from the 90s...comes from one of my favorite MCs. It was the first cd from a Brooklynite named Shawn Corey Carter.
Reasonable Doubt is the debut album by East Coast rapper Jay-Z. It was released on June 25, 1996 by Roc-A-Fella Records in the United States and Northwestside Records in the United Kingdom. The album features production from DJ Premier, Ski and Clark Kent, and guest vocals by Memphis Bleek, Sauce Money and The Notorious B.I.G. It peaked at #23 on the Billboard 200, received platinum status in 2002, and sold 1.4 million copies as of 2006. Four singles were released, the most popular being "Ain't No Nigga" and "Can't Knock the Hustle". Reasonable Doubt received strong critical reviews and has been heralded as Jay-Z's "crowning achievement", a seminal work and an "undisputed classic".
1. "Can't Knock the Hustle" f/ Mary J. Blige
2. "Politics as Usual"
3. "Brooklyn's Finest" f/ Notorious B.I.G
4. "Dead Presidents II"
5. "Feelin' It" f/ Mecca
7. "22 Two's"
8. "Can I Live"
9. "Ain't No Nigga" f/ Foxy Brown
10. "Friend or Foe"
11. "Coming of Age" f/ Memphis Bleek
12. "Cashmere Thoughts"
13. "Bring It On" f/ Jaz and Sauce Money
The cd was sick. I mean...bird flu/anthrax sick. The cd was Jay Z's best work and all of his work is measured by this cd. This cd came out when nobody knew who he was. There was no Beyonce...no Rocawear...no presidency of Def Jam. Just him. Jigga
Today's post...gimme ONE HOT cd from the 90s. It doesn't have to be hip hop. You don't have to provide the tracklisting if you don't want to but you have to tell me the hits from that cd. And the cd MUST be from the 90s. I NEED JUST ONE CD (let's see who's the 1st to post 20 cds that came out in the 90s)

Here I am, R-A-W
A terrorist, here to bring trouble to
Phony MC's, I move on and seize
I just conquer and stomp another rapper with ease
Cause I'm at my apex and others are below
Nothing but a milliliter, I'm a kilo
Second to none, making MC's run
So don't try to step to me, cause I ain't the one
I relieve rappers just like Tylenol
And they know it, so I don't see why you all
Try to front, perpetrating a stunt
When you know that I'll smoke you up like a blunt
I'm genuine like Gucci, raw like sushi
To stage a rage is what rap did to me
To make me want to create chaos and mayhem
Cold rock a party until the A.M.
I'll make a muscle, grab the mic and hustle
While you stand dazed and amazed, I bust a
Little rhyme with authority, superiority
And captivate the whole crowd's majority
The rhymes I use definitely amuse
Better than Dynasty, or Hill Street Blues
I'm sure to score adored for more without a flaw
Cause I get raw
Big Daddy Kane (RAW)
Oh how I miss those college days. Those were the best times. I'd chop my arm off if I could go back and do it again (minus the work...ha). I think that most of you who read this have either graduated college, have taken some college courses, or are currently in college. If you haven't...that's cool too.
As many of you know, I graduated South Carolina State University. I enjoyed my time there. It was a life changing experience and I wouldn't trade it for the world. I became a man there and I made some great lifelong friends along the way. I loved it. Was it my first choice??? NOPE! It was probably my 4th or 5th choice. It was a school that wasn't too close or too far from home. But it was the school where everybody in my family had gone. I wanted to do something different. Once I was offered a scholarship to play football, I changed my mind. LOL
If I had to make a decision on college now...would I go to SC State??? Probably not. That's no knock on my school. If I were looking to go to a school where I could get a great education and play football, I'd go somewhere else. The education is still great but the football aspect has declined.
I have no regrets about my decision to attend SC State. I earned a degree in marketing. I won a Black College National Championship in football. I met my wife there. I also met friends like Rezidl, Bacote, Clark, Big Mel, and Steve. Brothers for life. I wouldn't have met them had I gone to Harvard.
I watched this report on tv the other day by Dan Rather that talked about kids and the pressure that they are under to make the decision to go to the "right college". The kids that they interviewed talked about the "image" of the schools that they were applying for and what they thought about college.
What about you? Where did you go to college? If you had to do it again...would you choose the same school that you attended? If not, where would you go?

In no fashion have I lost my passion for the pen
It's just that lately life has been a lost less inspirin
To tell you the truth trials and tribulations is very tirin
I gotta play a little game of gimmick and gunfirin
I'm not aspirin to be any lower or higher than,
I get equal as in eye to eye again
I'm the truth, I'm complicated I'm all ready but try again
I've got to die once to never ever die again
And what I believe within I engrave within my skin
And one thang that I ain't is a saint without a sin
How could there be a now if there never was a then?
That is unbalanced just like the yang without the yen
I am distinguishably deeper as opposed to the paper-thin
And I breathe oxygen, and you rhymin bout rocks again
You stagnant, standing still enough to feel the world spin
I'm beginning to smell the end in the path of the blowing wind
Hopefully I'm fortunate enough to spend forever with a friend
I'm slow dancing with destiny every day until then
When I first got my big break I said that I would never bend
And discredit my character to keep up or contend
And my belief beat baseline secrete such a special blend
I am not like them at all and I cannot pretend
I am not like you at all and I cannot pretend.
Cee-lo from Goodie Mob
We all have it. We can't avoid it. But we all have different ways of dealing with it. We can be stressed by family, friends, work, or that dude in the car that just cut you off. We can be stressed by that female who annoys you so much that you started ducking her calls. We can be stressed by that dude who you KNOW aint good for you nor is he good to be around you.
We can be stressed by rising gas prices...a war that shouldn't be...and high food prices. We can be stressed by these damn bills that WON'T go away.
Stress is here. And it's here to stay. The question is...how do you cope with it? Where do you go? What do you do?

The Celtics are a much better team than the Lakers. Period. There's not much more the Lakers could have done to try to beat them. But if you're a Laker fan...I gotta ask...don't you feel bad about getting BLOWN OUT by 39 points? That game wasn't even close
RIP Tim Russert
RIP George Carlin
Doesn't it seem like folk are dying too soon?
Went to church on Sunday. Got the "refill" that I needed. My tank was on "E"
The top two disposable income industries in the country are porn and dogs. Learned that from my man Torrance aka Rawdawg. He runs a dog store in ATL. Check him out
Congrats to Lil Wayne. He sold a million copies of his new cd in one week. I copped it via the net. Very solid. Wayne is a good lyricist although he can be lazy at times. You can't anoint him as the "next greatest rapper" because he moved all of those units. Nelly sold 10 million copies of Country Grammer but I dont know 5 people who bought it!
Now that basketball season is over...I have nothing to watch on tv. Is there ANY good shows (non-reality) out there? Lemme know.
What's good ain't always popular...what's popular aint always good
Sup with the 17 high school girls who made a pact to get pregnant at the same time? I couldn't believe that when I read it. Talk about ignorance.
When I read the headline, I KNEW they weren't sistas. No sista is gonna have 16 girlfriends to go with her on some bs like that! LOL
When was the last time that you went to the library? I haven't been in YEARS!!!
Fish and grits for dinner. That's what I want.
Are you ready for some football?
Hey Hilary (*wavin*) How ya doin'?
Are you going to your family reunion this year? If so, where is it.
It's ok to set off fireworks for the 4th of July. Why can't I do it on an important day like December 9th?
Ever seen somebody in a nice ride with the windows down despite the 100 degree heat? Gas is too high for them to waste it blowing the AC. LOL
People do stupid stuff when its hot...like leave kids in a sweltering car with the windows down...or break into houses in BROAD daylight

Yo, I speak at schools a lot cause they say I'm intelligent
Nervous cause I'm dope, if I was wack I'd be irrelevant
I'm like the dope in your tracks until your high is settled in
You leanin' to the left, the laughter's the best medicine
But the troubles you have today you just can't laugh away
Stay optimistic, they can change, it's gon' come like Donny Hathaway
You have to pray, on top of that, act today
Cuz opportunity shrivel away like Tom Hanks in "Cast Away"
Everybody pass away, the past will pay, the family mournin'
Everybody act accordin' to the season that they born in
You fight in the streets, start bleedin' 'til the blood is pourin'
In the gutter, mothers cry 'til the Lord be livin' by the sword and
All that folks want is safety, they goin' gun crazy
The same reason Reagan was playin' war games in the '80s
The same reason I've always rocked dog chains on my babies
The struggle is beautiful, I'm too strong for you to slave me
Talib Kweli (Beautiful Struggle)
I need to get your opinion about something. I know that you have good taste in members of the opposite sex. Vibe with me on this one...
I know a dude named Pat. Real cool brutha. He's tall, smart, and women find him very attractive. Pat is in his mid 30s. He's single and doesn't have any kids. He graduated from a well known midwestern college. Sounds good so far, right? Here's the problem...he doesn't work! It's not that he's unemployed and looking for work. No. He's not looking to work! He hasn't worked since graduating college in the late 90s. He lives in the "family home" in his own wing. He has "dabbled" in the music industry as an artist but he has no steady job. Despite all of this, he's constantly being showered with gifts and trips from women. I just got an email from him the other day. He's in Paris with a female. You know me...I give props to everybody. I'm not mad at the "pimp" moves. I just have to know from y'all (especially the single ladies of the blog crew)...is he a good catch to make your mate???
I have another friend. Her name is Shywon. She's single with no kids. She doesn't have a degree but she is taking classes. She's real cool and down to earth. She's a dimepiece. I mean she is drop dead gorgeous. She lives at home with her mom despite the fact that she'll be turning 30 later this year. She doesn't make a lotta money but she goes out a lot. Normally, guys will pay for her dinner or a night on the town. She doesn't sleep around but she will "milk" you financially if you let her. Her goal is to be a model! She has done some modeling in her past.
I'm not one who wants to step on anyone's dream but I think the window maybe closing on the idea of being a model. As a friend, I won't tell her that. Nevertheless, she's more concerned with "getting by with her beauty" than being focused on school or a career. Here's the question...is she a good catch to make your mate?
You be the judge!

Ole skool. That's me. Let's take it back to the ole skool today.
I was reading my girl Pro's "review" of the new Lil Wayne cd. After reading it, I started thinking about how music has changed. Today's music is different from the music of the 80s and 90s. But then again...so are we! We're older so our tastes are different.
I thought about the music that was HOT back in the 80s. Then, I looked through the old cd collection and I picked out one of my favorite cds from the 80s.
Guy is the self titled debut album from the American R&B band Guy. It was released in 1988 by MCA Records. It is credited with popularizing the New Jack Swing genre and was co-written produced and co performed by Teddy Riley who was instrumental in developing and created this new style. It became a platinum selling record.
1. "Groove Me"
2. "Teddy's Jam"
3. "Don't Clap...Just Dance"
4. "You Can Call Me Crazy"
5. "Piece Of My Love"
6. "I Like"
7. "'Round and 'Round (Merry Go 'Round of Love)"
8. "Spend The Night"
9. "Goodbye Love"
10. "My Business"
This cd was SMOKIN!!! From the beginning to the end. Today's post...gimme ONE HOT cd from the 80s. You don't have to provide the tracklisting if you don't want to but you have to tell me the hits from that cd. And the cd MUST be from the 80s.
Let's take it back! Hollatchaboi!!

"Any fool with a dick can make a baby, but only a real man can raise his children". -Furious Styles (Boys in the Hood) as told to his son, Tre.
Daddy. The one word that describes me that will always make me smile. That's what I am. That's who I'll always be. Even when I'm dead. I love fatherhood. It is the most rewarding and challenging job that I'll ever have. I take it seriously. Very seriously.

Those were the 3 best days of my life. I remember them as if they were yesterday. Deion was first. Although I'm not an emotional person, I remember crying the day that he was born. I was thankful to be blessed with a healthy son. He's was not only our first child but the first grandchild on both sides. I thought that he'd be spoiled but at the age of 8...he's very grounded. I already see some my qualities in him. He's extremely competitive. He's the friendly one. He's the kid that everybody likes. I love going to pick him up from school and his classmates say..."Hello Deion's Dad!" I get a kick outta that. In the end...I am Deion's dad. And that's ok with me.
Kameron was next. He was special because he came a day before Deion's 3rd bday. No...we didn't plan it but it just happened. I remember him being handed to my wife when he was born. I'd never seen a baby that big! As he's gotten older, I see that he shares some my qualities as well. Kameron is very witty. He's a jokester. I love that about the kid b/c i'm the same way. Both he and his brothers are extremely intelligent. Some middle children struggle to gain their identity. Not Kam. This kid is something else.
Last but not least is Brandon. He wasn't born in August but he was born on December 10th...a day after MY birthday. I remember praying that he would be born on my bday. But Brandon has his OWN mind and he does things his way. Right now...he runs our house. He just doesn't pay any bills! He's a lot like his brothers but he's different too. He's the baby. They will look out for him. They'll show him the way as he gets older. I could go on and on about my sons. They mean the world to me. I feel blessed to have them. They are a gift. It's my job to give them love, discipline, and an example to follow...just as my dad did for me and my brother.
Father's Day Shout Outs
Dad- Love you, man! You always told me and Damon that when we got older that you'd be more like our best friend than our father. And you didn't lie.
Damon- you've done a great job with Taylor and Tyler. I'm proud of you
My cousins...Mike, Eric, Scott, Marc, Robert- job well done!
My crew...Zell, Derrick, Roody, Bill, Shaft, Moe, Russ, Bruce, Clark, Will, Danny, ERob, Erv, Brad, Boogie, Mel, Hakeem, Ryan, Joey, Lamont, Pizzo, Q, Toine, Bobby,Wilson, Zo,
Blog crew...Torrance, Don, Tony OH
To all of you sistas who are mom and DAD for your children.
From me to you...Happy Father's Day.

Between the greenhouse gases and earth spinnin off its axis
Got mother nature doin back flips
The natural disasters
It's like 80 degrees in Alaska
You in trouble if you not an Onasis
It ain't hard to tell that the conditions is drastic
Black Thought (Rising Down)
Summer is here! You don't need me to tell you that. Unless you're somewhere in the Pacific Northwest like Flyyest...it's prolly pretty damn HOT where you are right now. I've been in the South for most of my life. I don't recall it being THIS hot...THIS soon. I mean, it's only June. What's gonna happen when August rolls around? It was 99 here in Atlanta last week. I guess it'll be 120 in August??
Extreme heat...tornadoes rippin the Midwest...heavy rains are flooding towns in Iowa...the list goes on and on. Even though earthquakes aren't related to the weather, we've all seen the destruction that was caused a few weeks ago.
They are expecting 6-9 major hurricanes this hurricane season. That's a scary thought when you consider what happened after Katrina.
Something is wrong, y'all. Something is severely wrong. I dunno what it is. Global warming is sumthin, aint it?
Since we KNOW it's gonna be hot, there are several ways that you can beat the heat. Here are some tips...
1. Stay inside! Sounds simple but you'd be surprised how many people think it's cool to take a jog at noon to "burn calories". That's not all that you'll burn. You might pass out, fool!
2. Drink plenty of liquids. And I don't mean beer! I have a rule. If I'm outside at a barbecue, then I don't start drinking until the sun goes down. Liquor and beer along with the summer heat will drain you.
3. Don't spend a lotta time laying in the sun. I don't have to tell this to most black folk. LOL. I love my dark chocolate hue but I'm not tryin to expose my skin to these rays that are beaming down from the sky.
4. Dress light. Take the jeans off and put some shorts on. I don't care how big or skinny your legs are. Just make sure you put on that lotion, baby!
5. Always keep a "cool" towel with you. If you're gonna outside, then you're gonna sweat.

Some things need to be kept a secret. Can you keep a secret? You say that you can...but you can't. You've shared a secret. Some things are better left unsaid.
Jennifer and Trina were the best of friends. They had been friends since they were in middle school. They're both 25 now. They do everything together. They shop, hang out, drink, smoke cheebah, and party together. Jennifer has been dating her man, James, for the past 6 months. Unlike Jennifer, Trina was "too busy" to have a man.
Because they were friends, Jennifer felt like she could tell Trina anything. That included stories about her man. Specifically...about what they did sexually. And she never held back. She didn't have to b/c Trina was like the sister that she never had.
She told her about all of their "sexcapades". You know...the time that she gave him brains in a CROWDED movie theatre...or the time that they banged at her job just b/c they were horny. She told her how big he was and how nice his head game was. She also told her that is favorite position was doggstyle.
One day, Trina called Jennifer...
Trina: "Hey girl! Whussup?"
Jennifer: "Nothing much."
Trina: "I just picked our tickets for the basketball game. I've got 4 tickets. I just need to find somebody to go with me. Maybe I'll call Kevin."
Jennifer: "Cool. We need to get the tickets from you before the game. I know that James will want to be there early and you are KNOWN for showing up late so we'll take separate cars. Can you bring the tickets?"
Trina: "I can't. I'm doing my hair right now. Where's James?"
Jennifer: "He's on his way home from work."
Trina: "Why don't you have him stop by here to pick up the tickets? I mean, its on the way."
Jennifer: "Ok. I'll call him right now."
They end their conversation. She calls James and tells him to stop by Trina's house to get the tickets. And he does. When he gets there, Trina invites him in. Trina tells him that the tickets are upstairs and she advises him to come upstairs to get the tickets. When he does, he opens her bedroom door and finds her naked laying across the bed.
And we KNOW what happens next!!!
Who is REALLY at fault here? What should James do? Was Trina wrong? Was Jennifer wrong for "braggin" about her man to her girl?

History is being made. It's being made right before our eyes. And yes...I will talk about it.
I've always said that the 12th Planet would be open forum to talk anything. The only things that I haven't talked about is politics and religion. There's no right or wrong with either. But today...that changes.
I would be a fool not to talk about what Barack Obama has done. When the race to become the Democratic nominee started, Obama started from behind. He wasn't given much of a chance. But he's made alotta folks believe in him.
Not only was he battling the odds...but he would have to stand toe-to-toe with Hilary Clinton aka Pantsuit (thx PCD). He had to battle her jabs as well as her hubby, Bill Clinton. The Clintons used to be held in high regards with black folks. Not anymore. In my opinion, they've showed their true colors. They made comments about Obama's heritage, his former pastor, and even hinted toward something relating to Bobby Kennedy being "assassinated". Are you kidding me?
I remember hearing so many people say that they didn't think that Obama was ready. But that was last year. I KNOW he's ready. Not only is he ready...but he's far more capable than the clown that we have in office right now.
Obama will beat McShame in November. Beeelee dat! What should be his first priority? What are your thoughts and hopes for him? Do you fear for his safety? What do you think about him and his policies? Should he choose Pantsuit as a running mate?

Somehow...i think i got into the wrong profession. I should've played golf for a living...
Five years ago, Sports Illustrated first set out to find the 50 top-earning American athletes (taking into account on- and off-the-field income). We discovered a few basic facts, and as the Fortunate 50 turns five, some things have remained dead-on consistent:
No one can touch Tiger Woods, the runaway No. 1 for the fifth year in a row. Tiger's near $128 million haul is more than double his closest pursuer, Phil Mickelson at $62.4 million. As usual, hoops dominates the 50: More than half this year's list is made up of NBA players. There are 10 baseball players, seven football players, three NASCAR drivers, three golfers and one boxer -- and yet zero women.
Meanwhile, our International 20 list has seen a huge bump in average paycheck, thanks to the weak American dollar: 12 of the athletes earn their bread in foreign currencies from leagues outside the U.S. In the futures department, we tab the likes of Danica Patrick, Chris Paul and Joba Chamberlain to someday soon make the 50 in our Future Fortunates photo gallery.
As always, we limited our estimates to salary, winnings, bonuses, endorsements and appearances. Candidates for the 50 had to be American citizens. For an in-depth analysis of who's on the fifth annual Fortunate 50 and why, click here.
1. Tiger Woods...(Pro Golf)
Last Year's Rank: 1
$22,902,706 - Salary/Winnings
$105,000,000 - Endorsements
$127,902,706 - TOTAL
With close to $800 million in total earnings on and off the course over his 13-year career, Tiger should become the first billion-dollar athlete in the next two years -- and he's still only 32.
2. Phil Mickelson...(Pro Golf)
Last Year's Rank: 3
$9,372,685 - Salary/Winnings
$53,000,000 - Endorsements
$62,372,685 - TOTAL
Lefty's numbers jump thanks to an extra $2 million in FedEx Cup points in '07 and lucrative appearance fees for his first participation on the Asian Tour in Singapore and Shanghai.

$28,000,000 - Endorsements

4. Floyd Mayweather Jr... (Boxing)
Last Year's Rank: 22
$20,000,000 - Salary/Winnings
$20,250,000 - Endorsements

It's been a monster year for Pretty Boy, who made $20 million in purse and pay-per-view shares for his fight with Ricky Hatton and another $20 million for his foray into professional wrestling.
5. Kobe Bryant...Los Angeles Lakers (NBA)
Last Year's Rank: 5
$19,490,625 - Salary/Winnings
$16,000,000 - Endorsements
$35,490,625 - TOTAL
How's that for a change of tune? He once criticized his teammates; last month Bryant bought each of them $9,000 Swiss watches as a thank you for helping him win his first MVP award.
6. Shaquille O'Neal...Phoenix Suns (NBA)
Last Year's Rank: 4
$20,000,000 - Salary/Winnings
$15,000,000 - Endorsements
$35,000,000 - TOTAL
Shaq finally unloaded his 2.5-acre Miami estate last fall after having it on the market for more than two years. The buyer? Miami-native (and No. 7) A-Rod, for a reported $27 million.
7. Alex Rodriguez...New York Yankees (MLB)
Last Year's Rank: 11
$6,000,000 - Endorsements
$35,000,000 - TOTAL
Assuming A-Rod plays out his new mammoth 10-year, $275 million deal, he'll have earned $445 million in base salary alone over the course of what would be a 24-year career.
8. Kevin Garnett...Boston Celtics (NBA)
Last Year's Rank: 7
$22,000,000 - Salary/Winnings
$9,000,000 - Endorsements
$31,000,000 - TOTAL
KG is the highest-paid of the Celtics' Big Three; at a total of $56.1 million in salary this season, the trio makes up 74 percent of the Eastern Conference champs' entire payroll in '07-08.

Last Year's Rank: 12
$17,500,000 - Salary/Winnings
$13,000,000 - Endorsements
$30,500,000 - TOTAL
Hide the Lombardi Trophy. Football's leading endorser is still king of NFL pitchmen, but little bro Eli -- with whom he now regularly shares screen time in TV ads -- is creeping up fast.
10. Derek Jeter...New York Yankees (MLB)
Last Year's Rank: 8
$22,000,000 - Salary/Winnings
$8,000,000 - Endorsements
$30,000,000 - TOTAL

At the tender age of 35...am I too old to be playing video games? Helllllll no!!! You're neva too old to play video games. I've been playin' all my life. I'm not gonna stop. Well...I might stop once my boys get to the point where they can beat me. LOL. I developed my love for video games from the video games from back in the day. You know...Pac-Man, Ms Pac-Man, Frogger, Joust, Space Invaders, etc.
But there were games that I played looooong before video games. There were games like Monopoly, LIFE, Chutes and Ladders...just to name a few.
Can't forget about card games like UNO, Spades, and Blackjack.
And everybody remembers the basic games like TAG, Hide and Seek, Jacks, etc.
I'm a firm believer in the fact that we ALL are good at several things. I'm sure that you had at least ONE game that you were good at. A game where NOBODY could beat you.
What was YOUR childhood (or adulthood) game?

I was in the truck today. I needed something to play that would get my energy flowing. I was looking for some ole skool hip hop. While digging through the cds that I have, I stumbled across my Best of DC (go-go) cd. I haven't heard it in a lonnnng time. I love go-go music. A kid who grew up in South Carolina who likes go-go doesn't make sense does it? Actually, I couldn't stand it until I got to college and my boy Rezidl put me on it. So, for me to be riding down a street in ATL blaring go-go...it's safe to say that I would get some strange looks.
Nevertheless, I was happy that I found the cd. This cd was a compilation of some of go-go's best...Chuck Brown, NE Groovers, Junkyard Band, Huck-a-Bucks, and Rare Essence. After listening to the first song, I realized why I haven't bothered to listen to it in a while. The cd was HEAVILY scratched! I mean...the cd would stop when i hit a bump in the road. I know that I should have followed Mrs12's advice and thrown it away. The cd won't even play in any other cd player that I have. But I can't let it go. I love that cd. And you can't find go-go music here in Atlanta. Rezidl comes here once a month on bizness and that dude STILL hasn't brought me any go-go (LOL...but I digress). I really should throw that cd away but I can't let it go. Just can't let it go
A few years ago...before I got married... I bought this couch. I copped it for the "low low" at Goodwill. I loved that couch! My wife never liked it. When we bought our house, she was adamant about us NOT taking that old couch into our new house. Huh? Me and that couch were tight. I took the best naps on that couch. It even had a bed in it. We actually argued about that couch. Can you believe that? I knew that I should have thrown it away but I couldn't let it go. Just couldn't. We brought it with us when we moved but SHE got rid of it not long after that. LOL
What about you? Is there some thing(s) that you have that you KNOW that you should get rid of...but you just can't? Why not?

When was the last time you kicked somebody's ass? Think about it for a second...
I mean REALLY kicked somebody's ass!!
You're prolly sitting near somebody right now who's ass you wanna kick. If you can't find someone's ass to kick...lemme introduce you to Alisha Dean. She REALLY needs her ass kicked.
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- A 13-year-old girl's sexual shenanigans have put a second man behind bars. Morris Williams, 22, told the judge he thought the girl was 18-years-old, but he found out Tuesday that ignorance is not a defense. Morris Williams' mother wailed as he went off to jail. The judge asked for media not to show 13-year-old Alisha Dean's face in court, but her pictures are all over her MySpace page and they portray a sexy, 19-year-old divorced woman.
"She told me she had just turned 18," Williams said.
Williams said Dean picked him up on the street and after a few conversations they had sex. When he heard she was not 18, he went to her father.
"He was like 'well, she's 13,'" Williams said of a conversation with Dean's father.
Williams said he never did it again, but Dean has done it before with 24-year-old Darwin Mills. Mills was sentenced to five years in prison. Dean's father wanted Williams to join Mills there.
"One of the reasons for the law is the fact that minors have poor judgment," said Jerry Dean, the girl's father.
Williams' father believes the jail sentence sends the wrong message to Alisha. "I guess we just sit back and count how many after this," Henry Smith asked after his step-son was sentenced to jail. Dean's family admits Alisha still stays out late and has yet to delete her misleading MySpace page. Williams will serve six years probation with the first year in jail. The other five years he will have to wear an ankle monitor. His attorney says he will come back to court to ask again for a shorter sentence.
Ok. She's obviously dead wrong. This is the SECOND dude who's going to the big house b/c of her freaky ways. Shouldn't there be some type of penalty for HER?? Why is her page STILL on myspace? What are her parents doing?
I can't let the dude off the hook either. How do you NOT know that she was 13? I'm not buying it. A 13 year old will have the conversation of a 13yr old. You feel me. You know my motto..."when in doubt about a woman's age...look at her feet to see what kinda shoes she's wearing."
Your thoughts. Holla at ya boyyeeeeeeeeee!!!
here's the video clip on the local news...

I bomb atomically, Socrates' philosophiesWhat is the ONE thing that most of us want? A meaningful relationship with a member of the opposite sex (or same sex if you swing that way). Some of us are looking to take a meaningful relationship to the next level. You know...marriage.
and hypothesis can't define how I be droppin these
mockeries, lyrically perform armed robbery
Flee with the lottery, possibly they spotted me
Battle-scarred shogun, explosion when my pen hits
tremendous, ultra-violet shine blind forensics
I inspect you, through the future see millenium
Killa B's sold fifty gold sixty platinum
Inspectah Deck from Wu Tang (Triumph)
When you enter a relationship, you're expected to give up certain things. Is that fair? I think so. But I guess it would depend on what you're expected to give up certain things. For men, when we turn in that "playa card", we lose some things. I remember being a man who had a lotta female friends in college. These weren't women who I wasn't necessarily interested in. Women who had become friends with me b/c I'm an easy guy to talk to (...as evidence of this blog...things haven't changed. haaa). But there were some friends who DROPPED off the face of the earth when I got married. It's cool, tho. I understand.
There are some things that most people miss from the single life. For example...a recent study of 2050 women were asked what they missed about the single life. On a scale from 1-10 (with 10 being a very big deal to 1 being no big deal) here's how things stacked up...
Time to myself...7
Total financial control...6
Freedom to play the field...4
Answering to no one...8
Decorating on my own...4
Traveling when I want to...6
Finding dates for parties...3
Leaving my place messy...5
Hanging with friends...7
Ok. Now it's on you. Not just women...men, too. If you aren't currently in a relationship, you can specify the things that you would miss about the single life.

The NBA has struck gold with having the Lakers vs the Celtics in the Finals. This takes me back to the days of Magic Johnson and Larry Bird
Celtics will win in 6 games
There should be mandate in the rap world. If you're over the age of 18, then you can't call yourself Lil or Young. That means no more Lil Wayne, Young Dro, Young Jeezy, Lil Bow Wow, etc.
Is Alicia Keys engaged?
I think Kobe Bryant is a man bitch
Kobe Bryant is the best player in the NBA
Big Brown is the name of the race horse who is going for the triple crown this Saturday.
Is it just me or does Big Brown sound like a cool name for a porno star?
What percentage of athletes do you think are on steroids or performance enhancing drugs?
Who was your favorite character on A Different World? I liked Dwayne Wayne...goofy but cool
What happened to the black shows on tv? The stuff that's on tv right now is downright horrible. And yeah...that includes that crap that's on WB
Sanaa Lathan...Sanaa Lathan...Sanaa Lathan
Remember Video Soul with Donnie Simpson?
I love Deion Sanders' reality show
I don't watch much reality tv but I'd take Run's House over all of em. My son's refer to Run as "Diggy's Dad". I tried to explain to them who Run is but they don't care.
Is cheerleading a sport? I don't think it is but Mrs12 doesn't agree.
I can't watch the WNBA. Some of those chicks are hard on the eyes. I know...I know...I'm wrong for saying that. I doubt that any of you ladies would watch the NBA if most of the dudes looked like Sam Cassell.
LL Cool J is still rappin'. You gotta respect ole skool. I need for Rakim and Big Daddy Kane to come out with a cd.
When I think back to the songs that I liked that RKelly did early in his career when I liked him, I wonder if he was singing to a woman or a 15 year old girl? Pervert!
How much money did Arnold get paid for saying Whutchutalkinbout Willis???
The Falcons are lowering season ticket prices to bring the fans back. Some tickets will be as low as $250. I'll be at the games...but I'll be in the parking lot. An incompetent ownership and a talent-less team makes for a long football season.
The Miami Dolphins are mad at Jason Taylor for participating on Dancing With the Stars. Gimme a break. Let that dude dance
Remember Amil, former Jay Z protegee'? Wonder which McDonald's does she work at? Maybe she can give Souljah Boy a job in a few years?
Baseball is the only sport where you're considered to be good if you get 10 opportunities to get a hit and you get 3 hits. That's 30%! There's no other profession where 30% is acceptable. If you do 30% of your work today, I don't think your company would be happy.
Tell the truth...they'd be lucky to get 30% outta you on Fridays. Haaaa
